The School of Space Science and Physics Team Achieved a Great Success in the Provincial "Internet +" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

After fierce competition, teams from Shandong University, Weihai won 1 gold prize, 7 silver prizes, and 4 bronze prizes. Among them, the project of“Golden Eye”- China's Top Satellite Remote Sensing Application of Financial Alternative Data Analysis in AI Systemby the Satellite Navigation and Remote Sensing research team (project leader Chen Tingting, instructor Kang Ran) of School of Space Science and Physics won the provincial Silver Prize of the Creative Group.

Shandong University, Weihai attaches great importance to the training of students’ innovation and entrepreneurship, and focuses on strengthening students' innovation spirit, entrepreneurship awareness, and the abilities needed for both. Since January 2020 when Weihai campus joined the competition, the Youth League Committee of the campus organized various activities, benefiting more than 3000 students. In preparation for the provincial competition, the Youth League Committee also invited experts of the university to give systemic and targeted training to the competitors online.

The School of Space Science and Physics actively responds to the call of "Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation" and supports the undergraduates to participate in the "Internet+" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The students' innovation awareness and ability have been significantly improved, and new achievements have been made in innovation and entrepreneurship of the School.

The project of“Golden Eye”- China's Top Satellite Remote Sensing Application of Financial Alternative Data Analysis in AI Systemprovides unique analysis solutions for the decision-making applications on the demand-side in the financial sector, and has become a high-end decision-making think tank for a series of market players. In addition, this project provides a new direction for cultivating interdisciplinary and manifold talents.
